Sarah Ovvens

Sarah Ovvens was born in Northern California and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Growing up, she dreamed of living on New York’s lavish St. Luke’s Place as a thriving fashion designer. She also thought she’d grow up to be a powerful, big-city witch living in a mansion.

But after marrying her husband, Alex, she realized that small-town life suited her best. Today, she owns a local plant nursery and florist shop called ‘Sweet Rose’ in Madison, Wisconsin. She fishes almost daily, in the City of Four Lakes, gutting her own catch with her lucky ribbed pocketknife.

Sarah writes short stories on her lake house porch while watching her energetic Rottweiler, Roxie, chase birds up and down the water. Her childhood best friend, Sophia Blacksmith, who lives in the cabin next door., helps her come up with plots for her fantasy and thriller series.

When she wants to let loose, Sophia grabs Roxie, hops in her convertible Porsche, and takes a long, scenic drive across Wisconsin. Sometimes, she ends up in a country town of Buffalo County hunting deer with her AR-15 and gutting her bucks with her backwoods cousin, Alex.

At night, she sits around a homemade bonfire with her husband, cousins, and friends telling childhood monster stories about living together on the planet Tatooine, home of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. No matter where life takes Sarah, it has always brought her back to her small-town country girl background and her passion for fantasy fiction life.
